This UNESCO research Caring and Learning Together is focused on a current, major development, namely, the integration of early childhood care and education through the transfer of responsibility for the sector to education ministries.

In a context of widespread axpansion of education and care provision for young childre, the staffing of early childhood services in Europe is a critical quality issue. However, systematically asssembled data across countries on the education/training and structure of the early years workforce are limited.

spécifiques, l'attention qui leur est portée s'est accrue.
Conference: Kinderwelten
All children have a right to education. The concept of INCLUSION seems
to be one of the concepts with the highest potential to guarantee the
implementation of this right. It counters educational disadvantages and
takes a stance against discrimination. Inclusion demands a radical
change in our thinking: it is not the learner who has to integrate into
an existing system, but much more the educational system which has to
adapt to the needs of each learner.
ISSA-conference: Embracing Inclusive Approaches for Children and Youth with Special Education Needs
Practitioners, researchers, policy makers, and NGOs from Europe, Central
Asia, and North America will be joined by colleagues from around the
globe to engage in lively and informed discussions about the current
state of the expertise in meeting the needs of children and youth with
special educational needs. This event will serve as the 2010 Annual
Conference for ISSA.
EECERA-conference: Birmingham
The theme of the 20th EECERA conference: ‘KNOWLEDGE AND VOICE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD: who knows, who speaks, who listens?’, flows from the ethical stance of the Association which sets out a democratic commitment to work towards a more equitable sharing of power and voice in the development of early childhood research, practice and policy.
